We collect almost nothing, and we sell nothing

The short version: you can use this entire site without telling us who you are.

What we collect by default

Nothing. No account, no sign-up, no tracking profile, no advertising identifiers. You can read all 33 courses, take every quiz, and download certificates without giving us any information about yourself.

Your progress stays on your device

When you pass a quiz, your browser saves a small record — which course, your best score, and the date — in its own local storage. The name you type on a certificate is stored the same way, so you do not have to retype it. This data never leaves your browser. It is not sent to us, it is not synced between your devices, and we cannot see it.

Because it lives in your browser, it disappears if you clear site data, use private browsing, or switch to another device or browser. There is a "Reset my progress on this device" link in the footer of every page that clears it immediately.

Certificates

Certificates are drawn in your browser. If you ask for a verification code, the name and course you typed are sent to our server, signed cryptographically, and sent straight back to you as the code itself. We do not store your name, and there is no database of certificate holders. Verification works because the code carries its own signature, not because we kept a copy of it.

The optional email reminder

If you choose to sign up for a refresher reminder, we store your email address and the date you signed up. We use it for one purpose: to email you once a year suggesting you take a refresher. We do not sell it, rent it, share it, or use it for anything else, and we do not send marketing. Reply to any reminder to be removed, or ask us through the feedback form and we will delete it.

Feedback messages

If you report an error, we store the message and — only if you chose to include it — your email address, so we can fix the problem and reply. That is all it is used for.

Analytics

This site uses Cloudflare Web Analytics, which is cookieless and does not fingerprint visitors or track anyone across sites. It tells us which pages get read and roughly where in the world readers are. It does not tell us who they are, and there is no advertising network involved.

Hosting and logs

The site is hosted on Cloudflare Pages. Like every web host, Cloudflare processes standard request information (such as IP address and browser type) to serve pages and to protect the site from abuse. That is infrastructure, not a product we build profiles from.

Children

This site is written for adults and is not directed at children under 13. We do not knowingly collect information from children.

Changes

If this policy changes in a way that matters, the new version will replace this page. Since we hold so little, most changes will be clarifications.
